Pop-up jewelry shop opens in former gym in Annandale Shopping Center

The new Lambros shop.
Lambros Magiafas, the owner of Lambros Goldsmiths on Little
River Turnpike in Annandale, has launched a new, temporary shop in the
Annandale Shopping Center on Columbia Pike.

The new shop, offering a selection of fine jewelry and
watches, opened Nov. 20 for the holidays and will stay open through February,
Magiafas says. “It may be permanent, depending on how well it goes.”

The Lambros Holiday Shop is in a section of the empty storefront that used
to house Pro Maxx Fitness. The entrance is on the right side of the building, next
to Home Instead Senior Care.
The space has been empty since the gym closed in fall 2014. The
rest of the vacant space, still filled with old gym equipment, is reportedly
slated to be a medical clinic.
Lambros Goldsmiths was the title sponsor of the 2105 Taste of Annandale.

Magiafas also has jewelry shops at the Omni Shoreham Hotel on
Calvert Street in Washington D.C.: Wailea, Hawaii; and Juneau and Skagway,
Alaska.  A new shop is coming to the Wardman
Park Marriott Hotel in D.C.

  1. Lambros helped design custom wedding rings for me and my husband 21 years ago; we still cherish them.

He does beautiful work–go check it out!

  2. Lambros did a fabulous job replicating an item for me that had been lost. It was exact to the original, with Lambros touches! He is the best and customer service has always been exceptional. Hope Lambros stays in our area!
Sometimes have to squeeze seeing him personally in between his selling excursions to Alaska and other locations, but realize it is a sign of the times.

  3. Love Lambros! I too had beautiful custom wedding rings designed there. Also took a kinked gold chain & a lone earring (lost the other) to him & he turned them into an awesome one-of-a-kind ring for me. Great news! Hope this works out permanently for him.

  4. Not surprised this shop closed sooner than Feb. Lambros moved to the Marriott convention center in NW DC, whose clients should be able to afford his extravagant prices and pieces.
Wish his sweet sales ladies the best of luck Downtown!
