Pop-ups at The Block July 22

Crowds at The Block shortly after it opened last December.

Fun things are happening at The Block this Saturday evening, including clothing pop-ups and a car meet. The Block is a collection of food vendors at 4221 John Marr Drive, Annandale.
The Street Clothing Brand pop-up shop, open 7 p.m. until closing on July 22, will have apparel from Raredium, clubsbtkorea, awesome_closkin, and other brands. The car meet is being held in advance of the Importexpo car show in Washington, D.C., on Sunday.

Kim Ha of Annandale and Ivana Lee of Silver Spring, Md., the founders of a nonprofit called  Me & Youwill be at The Block 5-10 p.m. selling clothing they designed – t-shirts, tank tops, hats, and beanies – to raise funds for school supplies for low-income students.

They are asking people to drop off school supplies, such as copy paper, binders, pens, pencils, highlighters, wide-ruled spiral notebooks, notebook paper, backpacks, and headphones.

Ha and Lee also plan to sell maple bacon and Oreo cupcakes and raffle off gift cards for Balo Kitchen and Roots Thai Street Food, two of the eateries in The Block.

  1. Sounds like fun! The Block is the best thing to open in Annandale in awhile. I hope some food pop-ups make an appearance as well.
