Popeyes expected to open in Bailey’s Crossroads
The empty storefront undergoing renovation in a retail strip in Bailey’s Crossroads could be the site of a future Popeyes restaurant.
At least that’s what an employee at the State Farm insurance office next door says, although we’ve been unable to independently confirm it.
The space, at the corner of Leesburg Pike and Glen Forest Drive, was formerly a mattress store.
Popeyes is a fast-food chain that specializes in Louisiana-style chicken. There are two Popeyes in Mason District – on Little River Turnpike in Annandale and Arlington Boulevard in Seven Corners – among the 34 in Northern Virginia.
Wow great work figuring this out and getting the scoop! As a fan of popeyes I’m excited. As someone who is trying to lose weight I’m devasted.
We need a Bojangles!
I SECOND this comment! Bring Bojangles. And after that, Captain D’s
How on earth would that work? There’s no space for a drive through and the parking lot is small and hard to negotiate already.
When will the Bradlick Dollar store open up. It’s been months!
I’m pretty sure it’s permanently closed.
No consolation but there is a dollar store opening in Bailey’s now, where the Bambo Buffet used to be next to Babylon Cafe. Don’t know the exact date but store signs are up, shelving is in place and workers inside.
There is already a Popeyes near Bailey’s Crossroads. It’s on Route 7 before you get to the Alexandria border. (By the Taco Bell and 7-11 and TGI Fridays and stuff. Past Skyline before S.Walter Reed / N.Beauregard).
