Preschool hosts auction with 166 items

The Sleepy Hollow Preschool Parent Cooperative invites the community to participate in its annual online silent auction, going on right now. The parents have collected some great items to bid on – ranging from beach getaways to restaurant gift cards, from a winery outing to a family photo session.

The parent co-op hopes to raise $10,000. The preschool will use 100 percent of funds raised from the auction to provide need-based student scholarships and support teacher training.

The auction features 166 items – at every price range – donated by generous businesses and individuals.

Here are just a few examples: tickets to Arena Stage, Wolf Trap, Washington Spirit Soccer, and the Kennedy Center; gift cards to Target, Costco, Akeno Sushi, Caboose Brewery, and Pupatella Pizzeria; rentals at Rehoboth Beah and Virginia Beach; pierogi-making class; a month of ballet classes; a blueberry picking excursion; and much more.

The Sleepy Hollow Preschool has been a part of the community since 1949. It’s currently located at 6531 Columbia Pike in Annandale. Registration is now underway for the 2023-24 school year.
