Radley Acura expansion approved
The Radley Acura dealership on Columbia Pike near Route 7 in Bailey’s Crossroads will undergo a major expansion.
The Fairfax County Board of Supervisors approved a rezoning application Aug. 2 by Radley Management LLC to build a three-level parking garage with 307 spaces and an enclosed customer service drop-off addition.
The garage will be built over the existing service building and will have decorative banners. It will consolidate parking on site and reduce reliance on storing vehicles in other locations. The expansion will accommodate the future extension of Seminary Road to Columbia Pike, which is recommended in the Bailey’s Crossroads Comprehensive Plan.
The project also includes enhanced stormwater facilities and landscaping.
Mason Supervisor Penny Gross said the expansion of Radley Acura fulfills a dream of the late owner, Karen Radley. When the dealership was opened, in the mid-1980s, Gross said, the area’s infrastructure was undeveloped and there was an actual dump nearby.
