Recent crimes: assault, robbery

In this week’s crime roundup, the Mason Police District reports an assault by mob in the 3100 block of Graham Road in the Falls Church area at 12 p.m. on May 7.

Five men assaulted the victim and left the area in a blue Chevrolet van. The victim was treated for injuries that were not considered life threatening. This does not appear to be a random act.

The EZ Express Shop, a jewelry repair store at 5881 Leesburg Pike in Bailey’s Crossroads, was robbed shortly after 1 p.m. on May 9. Someone forced entry into the business and took property.

A man approached and robbed a pedestrian on the sidewalk in the 7300 block of Little River Turnpike in Annandale on May 8. The man implied he had a weapon and took the victim’s property. No injuries were reported.
