Recent crimes: Drugs, weapons, larceny

Police
arrested two men for drug possession in the 6300 block of Little River Turnpike
in Lincolnia at about 8:45 p.m. on June 8, the Fairfax County Police Department
reports.
When
officers made a traffic stop, they smelled marijuana. A search of the car revealed
drugs and a shotgun.
The
driver, Craig Knight, 26,
of Alexandria, was charged with possession of marijuana and
driving on a suspended license.

The
passenger, Terrance Smith, 38, of Dumfries, was charged with possession of a
schedule I narcotic (PCP), possession of a schedule I narcotic while in
possession of a firearm, being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm,
resisting arrest, possession of marijuana, and public intoxication.
Officers
on patrol at 6000 Vista Drive in Bailey’s Crossroads at 12:15 a.m. on June 8
saw a group of four teenagers run past them carrying pizza boxes and sodas. Due
to recent robberies in the area, the officers thought the teens might have been
involved in a crime.
After
a short chase, one of the teens was apprehended. When he was searched, police
found a concealed slingshot. A short distance away, a pizza delivery driver told
police he delivered food to the teens and they ran away without paying. The
teen who was arrested was charged with larceny, possession of a concealed
weapon, and possession of tobacco by a minor.
