Recent crimes: robbery and assault
The Fairfax County Police Department reports the following recent crimes in the Mason District area:
A group of men committed a robbery at Vista Drive and Glenmore Drive in Bailey’s Crossroads at about 5 p.m. on Nov. 11.
The men approached the victim on the sidewalk. One of the men displayed a baton and demanded property, and another man assaulted the victim. The attackers left on foot. No injuries were reported.
On Nov. 10, a man was assaulted and robbed on the 5800 block of Columbia Pike in Bailey’s Crossroads shortly before 1:30 p.m. on Nov. 10. The victim suffered injuries that were not considered life threatening.
A man robbed the Target at 6100 Arlington Blvd at 3:30 p.m. on Nov. 5. He entered the store, displayed a knife, took merchandise, and left in a vehicle. No injuries were reported.
