Recent crimes: several robberies reported
The Fairfax County Police Department reports the following recent crimes in the Annandale/Mason District area.
There was a commercial robbery at the 7-Eleven at 6545 Little River Turnpike across from Pinecrest Plaza on May 20. Two men entered the store, implied they had a firearm, and took merchandise. No one was injured.
A man was robbed in the 7400 block of Add Drive near Holmes Run in the Falls Church area shortly before 8 p.m. on May 20. A man approached the victim, displayed a knife, and took property.
There was an attempted commercial burglary at the Arlington-Fairfax Clinic at 8303 Arlington Blvd. Someone attempted to enter the business shortly after midnight on May 21 but ran away when confronted by an employee.
There were two robberies in the 6000 block of Bellview Drive in Bailey’s Crossroads.
One incident occurred at 1:40 p.m. when a 38-year-old man approached the victim and took property with force. Officers located the man nearby and charged him with robbery.
The other incident occurred shortly before 3 p.m. on May 23. A man and woman approached the victim, implied they had a handgun, and took property. No injuries were reported.
The 7-11 at 50 and Annandale road was robbed about a week ago. Thousands of dollars in cigarette cartons.
