Register now for the Taste of Annandale 5K

The Taste of Annandale is just a few days away, and so is the Taste of Annandale 5K Race.
The 5K Race starts at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 13, in the Kmart parking lot, 4251 John Marr Drive, Annandale. The course heads along Columbia Pike and through the trails in Mason District Park.
Online registration is going on now. You can also register on-site before the race, 8:15-9 a.m.
The Taste of Annandale 5K is certified by USA Track & Field (certificate #17034RT). It is also part of the RacePacket Grand Prix Series.
The entry fee is $25 for runners 15 and over and $15 for younger runners. The entry fee includes a T-shirt while supplies last.
Runners can pick up race packets on Friday, Oct. 12, 6:30-7:30 p.m., at PR Performance Fitness, 4111 John Marr Drive.
There will be awards for the top three males and females overall and for the fastest runners in several age categories: 9 and under, 10-14, 15-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 and up. The awards will be presented on the stage at the Taste of Annandale at 11 a.m.
PR Performance Fitness, one of the sponsors of the Taste of Annandale 5K, will lead warm-up exercises before the race. Orangetheory Fitness will provide water and snacks after the race.

After the race, stick around for the fourth annual Taste of Annandale, a street festival, 10 a.m.-4 p.m., along Tom Davis Drive, with food trucks, live music and dance, beer garden, children’s programming, best-dressed pet contest, chili cook-off, police helicopter, pop-up park, photo booth, and vendors.
