Registered sex offender lives in Annandale, state police reports

The Virginia State Police Sex Offender and Crimes Against Minors Registry issued a community notification Sept. 30 on Lam Van Diem, a registered sex offender living at 8455 Van Court, Annandale, Va., 20003. Van Court is off Monarch Lane, a few blocks from the Tobin Road intersection and close to Inova Fairfax Hospital and Pine Ridge Park.

Diem, age 46, is described as 5′ 7″, 139 pounds, with black hair and black eyes. He was convicted of rape and aggravated sexual battery in September 1997. He works at Park Woodworking in Lorton.

Individuals are listed on the registry for public information purposes. Using information on the sex offender registry to intimidate or harass an offender is prohibited by law.
