Registration open for Taste of Annandale 5K

Registration is now open for the 2018 Taste of Annandale 5K.

The race takes place just before the fourth annual Taste of Annandale, a street festival on Saturday Oct. 13, 10 a.m.-4 p.m., along Tom Davis Drive.

The 5K starts at 9:30 a.m. in the Kmart parking lot, 4251 John Marr Drive. The course is the same as last year’s Taste of Annandale 5K: along Columbia Pike and through the trails in Mason District Park.

The race is certified by USA Track & Field (certificate #17034RT).

The entry fee is $20 until Sept. 23 and $25 after that date for runners 15 and over. Younger runners will pay $12 until Sept. 23 and $15 after. The entry fee includes a T-shirt for runners who register by Sept. 1. After that date, there is no guarantee of a T-shirt.

Race day registration is 8:15-9 a.m. and ends promptly at 9. Runners may park at Kmart.

There will be awards for the top three males and females overall and for the fastest runners in several age categories: 9 and under, 10-14, 15-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 and up. The awards will be presented on the stage at the Taste of Annandale.

Register online here. For more information, contact David Roach, 864-360-3726,    [email protected].
