Registration is underway for the Mason District Little League (MDLL) spring season.
MDLL offers five levels of play for boys and girls ages 4 to 12, staring with tee ball.
There are three ways to sign up: online; by mail (download the form from the website; or in person at Belvedere Elementary School during player evaluations on Feb. 13, 1:30-5 p.m. or March 3, 1:30-5 p.m.
MDLL winter clinics have already started and run until March 14. The free, drop-in clinics take place at the Parklawn Elementary School gym, 5-6 p.m., according to this schedule: Mondays—majors and players moving up to AAA, Tuesdays—AA and AAA players, Wednesdays—Single A and tee ball.
There will be no clinics on Martin Luther King/Inauguration Day (Jan. 21), Presidents’ Day (Feb. 18), or any other day when the schools are closed for inclement weather.
Registration closes March 16. The fee is $100 ($50 for tee ball) until Jan. 31. After that, it’s $115. Scholarships are available for players eligible for free or reduced-prices school lunches.
Awesome! Spring IS just around the corner! For girls who like the game but don't want to play with the boys, the Northern Virginia Girls Softball Association (NVGSA) is another GREAT local organization to consider. Check out their website:
