Renovation of Barcroft Plaza under way
The Bank of America will stay open during renovations. |
Work has started on the renovation of Barcroft Plaza, beginning with the standalone building housing Bank of America and Fairfax Landromat.
According to Andrea Simpson, vice president of marketing at Federal Realty, that building is getting a new façade; new tenant storefronts; and improved tenant signage, lighting, and landscaping.

A patio area will be added to the Starbuck building. The other shops will have updated facades and improved signage. Landscaping and aesthetics will be improved throughout the shopping center.

The project is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
To fill vacancies at the center, Federal Realty is focusing on fitness, quick service restaurant concepts, and other neighborhood uses, Simpson says.

We could use another nice Korean Restaurant in Annandale.
Joking of course.
Maybe another hair/nail salon to go with the other three.
Yep. ha ha
Please, would love a CAVA nearby…
The gun shooting range closed. How about a come back?
will this Building have a third business, between the Bank and laundry?
If so, how many SQFT?
Would love to see the concept drawing for the Starbucks patio; please say the drive thru will stay!
Meanwhile, very little progress is being made on Glory Days, which was supposed to open this summer – any update on that?
It looks like they just got their construction permit yesterday.
Pinecrest plaza needs some help too!
The entire area needs a pick me up. It just baffles me how every area surrounding Mason is booming with new development and Mason remains in the dumps.
