A traffic pursuit on the beltway led to multiple arrests, after police attempted to stop a car heading northbound for reckless driving at about 2:40 a.m. on Sept. 26.
The driver eventually stopped near the Braddock Road exit and attempt to run. Police quickly captured Kevin Gutierrez, 27, of Dumfries. He was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, no operator’s license, and speed to elude.
Police detectives are seeking a group of men for robbery following an incident in the Culmore Shopping Center parking lot at about 9:30 p.m. on Sept. 23.
An officer on patrol noticed what looked like an argument between four people and determined that the victim had been approached by a group of unknown men. One suspect had pulled out a knife and demanded money and property. The suspects spotted a police cruiser in the area and ran away.
