Rotarians and students deliver Thanksgiving meals to needy families

Needy families in Bailey’s Crossroads were able to enjoy complete Thanksgiving dinners due to the generosity of the Bailey’s Crossroads Rotary Club, working in partnership with the JEB Stuart High School Interact Club.

Bailey’s Community Center compiled a list of needy families. The Bailey’s Crossroads Safeway provided charitable discounts on the food and free boxes. Twenty-two members of the Rotary Club and 84 Stuart students and alumni packaged and delivered 150 meal boxes to area families and to the Bailey’s Crossroads Community Shelter. The meals consisted of roast chicken, green beans, cranberry sauce, rolls, apple juice, and apple pie. Each box included artwork contributed by students at Bailey’s Elementary School.
