Rotary Club and students bring Thanksgiving meals to Culmore families
Justice High School students join Rotary Club members in packing meals for needy families. |
The Rotary Club of Bailey’s Crossroads and students from the Justice High School Interact Club delivered 100 meals to families in the Culmore area of Bailey’s Crossroads.
This has been a Thanksgiving tradition for the Rotary Club for decades. This year, nearly 40 Rotarians and friends and 30 Interact students participated.
The Safeway at Crossroads Center Way offered the food at a discount. Rotarians and students met at the store to pack boxes with Thanksgiving dinners, and Rotary members helped the students deliver them. Each family got a whole chicken, string beans, potatoes, stuffing, biscuits, and pie.
