The Bailey’s Crossroads Rotary Club’s 2017 fundraising raffle
was a big success on many levels.
The top raffle winner, Victor Castillo of Falls Church, came
away with a 1965 Ford Mustang convertible, while the Rotary Club raised more
than $125,000 for several charities.

Joan Taylor of Annandale and Brent Kronos of Scottsville, N.Y., each
won $500 in the raffle. Occoquan Mayor Liz Quist drew the winning tickets Sept. 14 at the Occoquan Arts and
Crafts Show.

The Bailey’s Crossroads Rotary Club will share the proceeds among the many
organizations it supports, including Wounded Warriors, Stuart High School, Glasgow
Middle School, the Key Center, BritePaths, the Stuart High School Pyramid Resource Fair, George Mason University
’s Department of Rehabilitation Science, Go Baby Go, the Mason Police District’s Citizens Advisory Committee, and Annandale Christian Community for Action.

This was the club’s 32nd annual Mustang raffle. A
1966 convertible is already being restored for next year’s raffle.
