‘Santa’s Ride’ brings holiday cheer to sick children

Going holiday shopping this week? Pick up something
extra for a hospitalized child. Local law enforcement officers will be going on
their annual “Santa’s Ride” Dec. 11, via motorcycle, to collect donated toys,
games, and books and deliver them to children at Inova Fairfax Hospital on Dec.
12 and Georgetown Hospital on Dec. 13.

You can drop
off your items (they should be new and unwrapped) at the Mason District Police Station by 9 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 10.

stations and at police headquarters, at 4100 Chain Bridge Road, Fairfax.

Santa’s Ride, officers will accompany Santa on a cruise by several schools
throughout the county, including Sleepy Hollow Elementary.
