Shots fired during robbery at Seven Corners restaurant

Shots were fired inside the Hong Kong Palace Restaurant in the Seven Corners Shopping Center during a robbery on Tuesday evening.

A man entered the restaurant, at 6387 Seven Corners Center, at about 7:45 p.m., displayed a handgun, and demanded money from employees, the Fairfax County Police Department reports.

The suspect was given an undisclosed amount of money. As he was leaving, he discharged a couple of rounds, says FCPD spokesperson Roger Henriquez. It appears he wasn’t aiming at anyone specifically but one of the bullets ricocheted and hit an employee in the lower part of his body. The employee was transported to a hospital with a non-life threatening injury.

The suspect was described as a black male, approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall, and 120 to 130 pounds. His face was covered. There is no surveillance video, Henriquez says. Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Solvers, 866-411-TIPS/8477, or the Fairfax County Police, 703-691-2131.
