Sketch of sexual assualt suspect released

Fairfax Police have released a sketch of a suspect believed to be responsible for sexually motivated assaults in the Annandale area. The most recent attack occurred Tuesday evening when an 18-year-old woman was sexually assaulted at the Avant apartment complex in the 7900 block of Charles Thomson Lane.

The victim was about to enter an apartment around 7:09 p.m. when a man ran up, grabbed her, and touched her inappropriately. A family member heard the commotion and chased the suspect away. The suspect, seen running through the community toward Braddock Road Elementary School, was described as Asian, between 18 and 20 years old. He was about 5 feet 5 inches tall and 200 pounds, had straight, shoulder-length black hair, glasses, and wore dark clothing.
