Sponsorships available for Taste of Annandale

A crowd gathers at the 2017 Taste of Annandale.

Here’s a way for local business owners to increase the visibility of your business, attract new customers, and enhance your reputation as a leader in the community: Be a sponsor of the fourth annual Taste of Annandale.

This community festival, scheduled for Oct. 13, along Tom Davis Drive, features a 5K race, restaurants, food trucks, live entertainment, vendors, children’s programming, a chili cookoff, and some special events such as a pet contest.

The Taste of Annandale, which reflects the broad diversity of the Annandale/Mason District area, attracted at least 5,000 people last year and has grown every year.

Proceeds from the Taste of Annandale benefit youth-led projects aimed at enhancing the quality of civic life in the community.

There are three levels of sponsorship support.

The Taste of Annandale Planning Committee is seeking an Event Partner to have their company name and logo listed on all marketing and promotional materials, 5K runner bibs, signs, posters, flyers, an on-site banner, features in the Annandale Blog, and more. At the festival, this Platinum-level sponsor will have a 20 by 10-foot booth with table, chairs, and tent and will have an opportunity for a presentation on the stage. The contribution amount is $5,000.

There are also opportunities to be a Gold Sponsor for $1,000 or a Silver Sponsor for $500.

While the Taste of Annandale is still months away, the sooner you sign up, the more exposure you’ll get, as the Planning Committee is already starting to plan and publicize the festival.

If you would like to learn more about sponsorships, contact Taste of Annandale Planning Committee chair Bob Kahane, 703-856-8773, [email protected].

  1. If you want to call this the "Taste of Annandale", I suggest you get alot of restaurants to participate, not just 3 or 4 food trucks as there were last year. Otherwise, please change the name..I was really disappinted last year!

    1. I agree, let's make it a destination for NOVA. 3 or 4 truck ain't gonna cut it. Look at taste of Arlington as an example. I'll give the Blog this, thank goodness they initiated it because the 1970 County leadership is clueless to how important this kind of PR is. Its good for business, tax revenue and economic growth. They are just too busy with their spreadsheets and spending money social services buildings.

Let's make Annandale Great Again with its great variety of ethnic foods and culture. If you want to help the poor you need to bring in the tax revenue to do so and that is not by over taxing the departing tax base. Its by creating opportunities for job growth, walkable communities and GOOD TRANSIT OPTIONS, not busses that sit in traffic.
