Sports club gets grant to fix fencing at Pine Ridge Park

The Fairfax County Park Authority Board awarded a $1,937 Mastenbrook Volunteer Matching Grant to the Braddock Road Youth Club (BRYC) for improvements at Pine Ridge Park in Annandale.

Black vinyl-coated chain link fencing will be installed at one of the corners of field #6 and will connect existing fencing, so players will no longer have to run down the bottom of a steep slope to retrieve balls.

BRYC has been a participant in the Adopt-A-Field program for several years. It has helped improve and maintain many athletic fields at Howrey Park, Lake Braddock Secondary School, Pine Ridge Park, Wakefield Park, and Winterset Varsity Park.
