The Board of Supervisors cleared the way for the
construction of a four-story self-storage facility on a vacant lot in an industrial area of
Mason District.

Northpoint Realty Partners had sought in increase in density and modifications of proffers and site design involving transitional screening for
the 6-acre property at 6375 Bren Mar Drive near the intersection with General
Washington Drive. The BoS approved both following a public hearing on Oct. 16.

The 184,000-square foot facility would have up to 1,275 storage
units. It would be open 9 a.m.-6 p.m. daily. People who rent storage units would
have 24-hour gated access, which would require a security code.
