Suspect sought in Wachovia Bank robbery in Annandale

Fairfax County Police are looking for a suspect who robbed the Wachovia Bank at 6565 Little River Turnpike (at the Braddock Road intersection) yesterday. The suspect is described as black, 25 to 35 years old, about 6 feet tall, and between 160 to 200 pounds. He had long, straight, brown hair and wore a red sweater.

The man entered the bank at about 11:15 a.m., implied that he had a weapon, and demanded money. The 22-year-old teller turned over an undisclosed amount of cash and the suspect fled on foot. No one was injured.
