Taste of Annandale features variety of entertainment

Annandale’s got plenty of talent – and much of it will be
display at the Taste of Annandale, an all-day community festival on June 13.

Bands lined up so far include Swell (standards and 80s remixed),
Space Junk Jammers, Blue Book Value (blues, swing, and rock), Shoegazer and
Slackjaw (acoustic), and a group playing ethnic Persian music. Swell and Space
Junk played last year at Blogapalooza, the Annandale Blog’s fifth-anniversary
party.
Other performers include the Salsa Fuego Dance Co., Annandale Terrace Elementary School’s champion jump rope team, dancer and Annandale High
School graduate Kelly Ruiz, the Ta’ata Roiroi Polynesian dance group, and the
Eagle Tae Kwan Do Academy. Additional performers will be announced over the next few
weeks.

The children’s corner will feature Amazing Kevin the Magician, as well as balloon animals, a storyteller, and other activities.
