Teen charged with setting fire to Annandale house

Fairfax County fire investigators charged a 14-year-old male juvenile with intentionally setting a fire at an Annandale home, the Fire and Rescue Department reported Nov. 14.

The Nov. 8 fire, at a single-family house in the 3900 block of Bruce Lane, in the Columbia Pines neighborhood, caused approximately $35,000 in damages to the siding, eaves, and roof assembly. Smoke alarms alerted the occupants, and no one was injured. Two adults and two children have been displaced.
