The Taste of Annandale is on for October 2021
Crowds enjoy the show at the 2019 Taste of Annandale. |
The Taste of Annandale will be back this fall – bigger and better than ever.
The 2021 festival will be Oct. 2, 10 a.m.-4 p.m., on Tom Davis Drive.
The Taste of Annandale didn’t happen in 2020 due to the pandemic. The organizer, the Annandale Roundtable, hopes that by the time October 2021 rolls around, everyone who wants a COVID vaccination will have gotten one and people will be able to gather in large crowds safely.
After spending the past year mostly home at home, a community festival will be a great way to celebrate the end of the pandemic. The last Taste of Annandale in 2019 drew at least 5,000 people – and this year’s Taste is likely to be even bigger.
As in past years, the 2021 Taste of Annandale will have restaurants, food trucks, live entertainment, a special program for children, a 5K race, best-dressed pet contest, beer garden, and vendors.
The Taste of Annandale is a celebration of the community’s diversity, and what better way to do that than highlight the area’s diverse culinary and cultural traditions.

For local businesses and organizations, becoming a sponsor of the Taste of Annandale is a great way to attract new customers and enhance your reputation as a leader in the community.
Planning is still in the early stages, but there are likely to be three levels of sponsorships: Platinum, Gold, and Silver. More details will be coming soon, as well as a sign-up form. Meanwhile, if you are interested in learning more about sponsorships, send an email to [email protected].
More information and sign-up sheets for restaurants, food trucks, and other vendors, will also be available soon, along with details on the 5K Race and other elements of the Taste of Annandale.
To all the new restaurants that have opened or are opening soon in Annandale and surrounding areas: please consider joining the Taste to introduce yourselves to the community.
Great, something to look forward to in making Annandale less dumpy again.
This is a great community event. Glad to see it continue. One suggestion for the organizers — to the extent possible, please feature Annandale or Mason District-based food vendors (restaurants, etc.). In the past, there have been a lot of food trucks with no connection to the community. Anyway, it's great to see the Taste of Annandale back on for 2021!
I second this request! I've enjoyed the Taste of Annandale events every year, but it's sadly ironic that there aren't more actual Annandale (or Annandale-adjacent) restaurants there.
C'mon, folks! We're waiting!
