Three Halloween stores pop up in Mason District

The huge Spirit store in Pinecrest Plaza.
Temporary Halloween stores are popping up all over the area.
Spirit shops – selling a large selection of costumes for all ages and Halloween decorations – have
opened in the former Staples store in Pinecrest Plaza, the former HH Gregg
store on Columbia Pike in Bailey’s Crossroads, and the former Tuesday Morning on
Route 50 in Graham Park Plaza.

Superhero costumes for kids.
Christie Pesavento, assistant manager of the Spirit Halloween store in
Pinecrest Plaza pointed out some of the new costume themes for 2017: the “Stranger Things” TV series, the creepy clown from the “It” movie, and
the “Hocus Pocus” Disney movie. Wonder Woman is likely to be popular this year, thanks to the hit movie.
Eggo waffles are a key part of the “Stranger Things” theme.
The store also has realistic animatronic characters, such as a levitating
lady, a lifelike monster, and an alien hidden in a cloud of fog.
Enter at your own risk.
If you can hold off until Nov. 1, everything will be marked
down.
