Toddler dies after falling from apartment balcony

A 2-year-old boy fell to his death from a balcony from the 24th floor of building at the Skyline Towers in the 5600 block of Seminary Road, Bailey’s Crossroads, at around 4 p.m. on Aug. 13.

A preliminary investigations by the Fairfax County Police Department shows there was an adult caregiver in the apartment tending to the needs of another child at the time of the fall. Detectives from the Major Crimes Bureau and Crime Scene Unit are investigating.

There was a similar incident less than three months ago. On May 30, a 3-year-old boy died after falling out of a bedroom window at 5601 Seminary Road.
