Torrential rains cause flooding in Annandale

Much of the flooding that inundated the area last night has subsided but it’s still really wet out there. In the past couple of weeks, we’ve had an earthquake, hurricane, and torrential rains.  Give us a break, Mother Nature!

The parking lot at the Sleepy Hollow Bath and Raquet Club (above) was a lake last night. Here’s how it looked this morning.

There are rapids in Holmes Run. All those rocks weren’t there Aug. 23 after Hurricane Irene. Could the water have moved them? It doesn’t seem possible.

  1. Might you, or anyone else, know how the area of the school construction site now looks after the torrential rains? thanks
