Tous les Jours returns to Annandale

Tous les Jours is coming back to Annandale. The Korean-French bakery is moving into a vacant space at the EastGate Shopping Center on John Marr Drive.

Tous les Jours opened at 7219 Columbia Pike, Annandale, in 2014 and closed in 2018. That space has been empty since then, although work has gone on intermittently inside the building over the past few years.

This Tous les Jours bakery was in Annandale from 2014 to 2018.

There are more than 70 Tous les Jours locations in the United States and more than 1,650 worldwide. There used to be one in Centreville. Now, the closest one is in Ellicott City, Md.

  1. Interesting how they are coming back. It closed pre-pandemic, and opened near the same location as last time, wondering what they believe would be different now. I did like the old Tous les Jours spot, nice open space and the set up was good, was wondering why it closed.

  2. Since you bring it up, I’ll toss this out there: it’s possible they left the previous location because of high rent–some landlords around here love to jack up the price even if they end up chasing perfectly good tenants away and wind up with empty space for months or even years. [Ahem.] Perhaps Tous les Jours is getting the new place for a more manageable price.

  3. I think the old location fronted a parking lot and was hard to find wedged in between other businesses. The new location should give them more visibility and encourage drop-ins by folks visiting the other strip mall stores. Also, mmmm macarons!

  4. Does anyone know the estimated opening date? Very excited to see this place coming back. Tous Les Jours is by far one of the best places to get cakes and pastries in all of America. I always assumed the old location closed due to being tucked away where no one could find it. Hopefully, this new location brings in business even amidst the looming recession.
