Truck stolen from Page Chevrolet

Fairfax County Crime Solvers is seeking the public’s assistance
identifying the man responsible for stealing a truck from Page Chevrolet at
6500 Little River Turnpike, just east of Annandale.

The owner of a 2014 black Chevrolet Silverado brought the truck to the dealership for
service on Dec. 1. As requested, he left it unlocked with the keys in
the ignition inside a service bay. At about 6:18 p.m., when the dealership was
still open, a man climbed into the truck and drove away.

The truck has Virginia license plates with VCK-1302. The suspect,
captured on surveillance video, was described as black, heavy-set, and having a
distinctive walk.
Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Crime Solvers, 866-411-TIPS/8477, text “TIP187” plus your message to CRIMES/274637. Tipsters
don’t have to give their name or appear in court. A cash reward of $100 to
$1,000 will be paid for information that leads to an arrest and indictment.
In
other crime news, Fairfax County Police arrested two men for attempted burglary
in the Pinecrest community. According to the FCPD Daily Blotter, a resident had reported hearing a loud bang at the
rear of his house in the 6500 block of Gretna Green Way at about 8:30 a.m. on
Dec. 15 and saw two men running from the back deck.
Police
officers determined that someone had thrown a rock through a rear window and
attempted to gain entry. Two suspects were located nearby: Cesar Giofinno, 20,
and Rashied Hardy, 20, both of Alexandria. They were charged with
attempted burglary.
