The Tuesday Morning store at 3501 Carlin Springs Road in Bailey’s Crossroads, is one of 132 stores on the company’s closure list, as part of its Chapter 11 filing.
Tuesday Morning specializes in home goods at low prices.
The Tuesday Morning Corp. announced May 27 it will pursue financial and operational reorganization with the goal of reducing its outstanding liabilities and strengthen its overall financial position.
“The prolonged and unexpected closures of our stores in response to COVID-19 has had severe consequences on our business,” says CEO Steve Becker. “The complete halt of store operations for two months put the company in a financial position that can be effectively addressed only through a reorganization in Chapter 11.”
Following a comprehensive store-by-store analysis, Tuesday Morning expects to close approximately 230 of its 687 stores over the summer “to focus on high-performing locations.”
At least 132 locations will be closed as part of the first phase. Eleven Tuesday Morning stores in Virginia are part of that group, including stores in Fairfax, Vienna, and Centreville, as well as Bailey’s Crossroads.

The Tuesday Morning stores in Springfield and Alexandria are not on that list.
