Unidentified creature spotted in Holmes Run Park
An alert reader spotted what looks like a large furry creature while walking through Holmes Run Park a few weeks ago. There were several large bones nearby. Yikes!!
He took these photos, but when he tried got closer, the thing growled and started coming after him. Fortunately, he was able to run away. Anyone see anything like this?

IM NEVER WALKING THROUGH THAT PARK AGAIN
its probably…no, definately a dog thats been on its own for a long time. no seasonal haircuts, no grooming, no nail clipping, and no bathing for a couple years and even you might look like that too. this isnt monsterquest people…if there was some unknown creature it would have been marching through the backyards of the 22 trillion homes in the immediate area. come on people…a furry creature spotted in the woods? get your heads out of your..

In the coming days I will be be raising funds to form a task force to battle the bear menace in our beloved neighborhood. When asked to contribute, please take the time to think of the children…being mauled by bears!
I also confronted this strange, hideous creature in the park on my daily walk. But just as it spotted me and made its first move towards me (to have me for dinner, no doubt), a Bigfoot came bounding from out of nowhere and carried the beast away never to be seen again. [And if you believe this, be sure and check the posting date of the blog entry]

It must be the Annandale groundhog. Very rare. Only comes out on April 1…
