Unwanted prescription drugs collected April 30

Got old prescription drugs lying around? The second National Prescription Drug Take Back Day is Saturday, April 30, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
This initiative, sponsored by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration in conjunction with state and local law enforcement agencies, encourages people to clean out their medicine cabinets by providing a safe place to dispose of unwanted or expired prescription drugs.

There are designated collection points throughout the area. The one closest to Annandale is in the rear parking light of the City of Falls Church Fire Station No. 6, 6950 Little Falls Rd.

Don’t let your old drugs, particularly controlled substances, get into the hands of teenagers. And don’t just throw them out, as that might be harmful to the environment.
