Virginia hosts community conversations on COVID vaccine
COVID vaccines are undergoing testing. [Pfizer] |
The Virginia Department of Health is hosting community
conversations for various populations on how the state is preparing for the
COVID-19 vaccine.
Here’s the schedule:
- Dec. 8 – Asian American and Pacific Islander community
- Dec. 9 – LatinX community
- Dec. 10 – LGBTQIA+ community
- Dec. 15 – African American community
- Dec. 16 – People with disabilities community
- Dec. 17 – Rural community
All the sessions start at 6 p.m. Register and submit
questions here.
COVID cases are surging in Fairfax County. The county health
department reported 620 new cases on Dec. 7, the highest single-day case count
ever, and 567 new cases on Dec. 6. Before November, the highest one-day count was 493 cases on June 25.
COVID deaths have been inching upward; the
total number of deaths is 621 as of Dec. 7. The health department reports 2,666 hospitalizations on Dec.
7, up from 2,433 on Nov. 15.
The county’s percent of COVID tests that are positive is
11.5 percent, which exceeds the state’s positivity rate of 10.8 percent.
Because the initial supply of vaccines will be limited,
Virginia’s COVID-19 Vaccination Plan recommends these groups for the first
priority:
- Healthcare workers (paid or unpaid) with the potential for exposure to patients or
infectious materials; - Essential workers who cannot practice social distancing
in the workplace (law enforcement and emergency personnel, food-packaging and
distribution workers, teachers, childcare providers); - Adults with high-risk
medical conditions that put them at high risk for severe COVID illness; - People age 65 or older.
Covid tests are a fraud. A positive PCR test doesn't mean anything.
Don't believe it when the vaccine companies say that their covid vaccines are 90% effective. It isn't true. It is based on selective reporting of who gets sick. A large percentage of people who get the vaccines get flu-like symptoms right after the shot. The vaccine companies are sweeping this under the rug.
If you have this critical information based on something from somewhere, don't you think you should remove the anonymous tag from your post so that we can judge your qualifications to make this statement? If you are not comfortable sharing your name, then don't make wild assertions with no citations that have potential impacts on public health.
Why? Because you say so? People can look into this and decide for themselves, but don't expect to get the whole truth from the mainstream media. I recommend The High Wire with Del Bigtree. It was on YouTube and Facebook for a few years, but was removed from both of those platforms after the "pandemic" started. They have a website which people can look up for themselves. They may still be on Twitter. I am not going to bother trying to post URLs here, since comments with URLs have not been allowed by the moderator here, in the past.
It terrifies me people like you have enough neurons to cast a vote 1:15
The scientist who developed the PCR test stated it is not a diagnostic test. It is easy to find with a google search. Also, the cycle threshold for a PCR test varies and picks up varying levels of RNA. It essentially can be amplified so much that it picks up dead virus RNA. Most PCR tests being taken set the cycke threshold at 40 when 30 is the typical threshold for determining whether there is any infectious RNA. And each cycle threshold amplifies the RNA exponentially. Also, the vaccine is the first widespread mRNA vaccine (to oversimplify uses RNA to create a protein to attack the virus) to be used on humans. No live virus in it. Also very few people who actually had covid got the vaccine. most were placebos. It is reasonable that some would want more data vefore a rushed vaccine is taken. It is at least worth discussion. Not enough characters to explain fully here and none of this is dispositive but worthy of a conversation about the efficacy of testing and the vaccine.
I'll take flu like symptoms right after the shot. That means the vaccine is working…
It's extremely unclear what point you're trying desperately to make.
Wow, looks like Virginia is instituting state-sponsored segregated meetings now based on race again. Funny how so many are troubled by names of historic confederate soldiers, but not the policies of separation by racial identity.
I can't find my self-identified group!
That is because they didn't include everyone!?
I get that VA Department of Health is trying to reach out to the different communities. From that list, they are not representing/including everyone!!
