Vote for Kory for delegate

The AnnandaleVA blog endorses Kaye Kory to represent the 38th district in the House of Delegates. Kory has done an outstanding job as a member of the Fairfax County school board for the past 10 years and can be counted on to work hard to support public education as a state rep. Among her accomplishments – gaining approval for a new school in the Broyhill Crest neighborhood to replace the Lacey school administration center and rebuilding the crumbling Glasgow Middle School with the latest “green” building innovations.

In addition to education, Kory’s top priorities are fixing the transportation mess (including support for mass transit) and helping the neediest citizens by expanding access to preventive health care and eliminating the state sales tax on food. While Kory embraces many of the key Democratic concepts, she has promised to collaborate with members of both parties to get things done. Oh, and she also supports gay marriage. Although the incumbent, Del. Robert Hull, has done a fairly good job supporting Northern Virginia interests in Richmond, he has been too close to the developers. It’s time for a change. Vote for Kaye Kory in the Democratic primary on June 9.
