An Alexandria man, Jorge Noriega Reyes, 26, was arrested for grand larceny and drug possession in the evening of May 11 in the 5500 block of Leesburg Pike in Bailey’s Crossroads, the Fairfax County Police Department reports.

According to the FCPD, Noriega Reyes approached the victim, who was behind a business drinking with a friend, and asked for K2, a form of synthetic marijuana. A male and female couple are wanted for a robbery committed in the 3400 block of Glen Carlyn Drive in Bailey’s Crossroads in the waning hours of May 13. Both suspects are described as Hispanic and approximately 20 years old. The male was described as tall with black hair, wearing a green shirt. The female was short, wearing a black shirt, and her hair was pulled up in a bun or pony tail.

The victim was standing outside the 7-Eleven at 3827 S. George Mason Drive when he was approached by several men. One suspect had a black handgun near his waist and said, “give me your money.” The victim replied, “come and take it,” and the men all ran off.

The suspects are described as:

  • A black male in his 20s who speaks with an Ethiopian accent, approximately 6 feet tall, 160 pounds, with short black hair, wearing a red hoodie with designs on the hood and camo on the rear left arm, black jeans, and red sneakers.
  • A black male in his 20s, approximately five feet, nine inches tall, with short black hair, wearing a black T-shirt, black pants, black socks, and black sandals.

  1. Just lovely. Why doesn't Mason District build a shelter for these animals and then the urban redevelopment will be complete with non-business generating tax revenue entities. This will complete the County's strategy of keeping Mason the DUMP it has and continues to be: No services for the tax paying residents, like mixed use venues such as housing for young tax paying professionals, theaters, restaurants, galleries, retail shops. No not for Mason, just vacant buildings, storefront and brand new homeless shelters. I cannot wait until a new high rise jail is proposed at the HH Greg site!
