Weekend crimes: brandishing, larceny, assault
The victim, a juvenile, had arranged to meet two people contacted through Snapchat to show them two designer belts he was selling.
The juvenile suspects tried on the belts and fled the area on their bicycles without paying for them. When the victim chased the suspects, one of them pointed a black handgun at him. Both suspects were found and charges are pending.
There was an attempted robbery in the 4100 block of Woodland Road, Annandale at about 7 p.m. on Sept. 8.
A witness reported that a Hispanic male only known as “Julio” punched the victim in the face demanding his wallet and iPhone. The wallet was never taken and the victim’s phone was found nearby.
The suspect was last seen running south on Woodland Road and is described as approximately 23 years old, 5 feet, 6 inches tall, and weighing 120 pounds. He was wearing a red shirt and was clean shaven.
Looks like we need a prison more than a homeless center in Mason.
