Weekend crimes include robbery, reckless driving

The Fairfax County Police Department reports the following crimes in the Annandale/Mason District area during the weekend.
A group of people robbed the Euro Market at the Mobil gas station at 6318 Leesburg Pike in Seven Corners at around 11:30 a.m. on Oct. 13. The group entered the store, displayed a weapon, demanded money, then left. One person sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
A man who was trying to sell a cell phone was robbed at around 9:30 a.m. in the 3200 block of Rio Drive in Seven Corners on Oct. 14. The victim had advertised the phone and arranged to meet a man who responded. The potential buyer displayed a weapon, demanded the phone, and fled. The suspect was described as white, between 25 and 40, with black hair. The victim was not injured.
An officer observed a vehicle driving erratically on Little River Turnpike and conducted a traffic stop at around 3:10 a.m. on Oct. 14. The driver gave his license to the officer, then sped away and crashed into several parked cars at Patriot Drive/Ivymount Court in Annandale. The driver then took off on foot, and the two passengers in the vehicle were transported to the hospital, one in critical condition and the other with non-life-threatening injuries.
