Weekly crime report: burglary, robbery

Here’s the weekly crime report from the Fairfax County Police Department for the Mason Police District: 

The Number One Laundry at 6493 Little River Turnpike in Lincolnia was burglarized on May 17. Officers responded to a commercial burglary alarm shortly after 1 a.m. and found Melik Gizaw, 19, of Alexandria, inside the business. He was arrested and charged with burglary. 

Mr. Tire, at 5610 Columbia Pike in Bailey’s Crossroads was burglarized at about 2 a.m. on May 18. Someone forced entry into the business and took property.

An individual walking on the 3400 block of Charles Street in Bailey’s Crossroads was robbed at 9:20 p.m. on May 16. The victim was approached by a man who displayed a knife and took personal property. The victim was not injured.
