Weekly crime report: robbery and assault
The Fairfax County Police Department reports the following crimes during the past week in the Annandale/Mason District area.
A man was approached by four men in the 4100 block of Wadsworth Court in Fairmont Gardens in Annandale at midnight on Aug. 28. They assaulted him with a baseball bat and took his property. The victim was treated for injuries that were not considered life threatening.
There was also a robbery in the 3400 block of S. Jefferson Street in Bailey’s Crossroads at about 12:20 a.m. on Sept. 2. The victim was loading his car in the parking lot when a man approached, displayed a knife, took property, and ran away. There were no injuries.
Someone forced entry and took property from the Target on Arlington Boulevard in Seven Corners shortly after 1:30 a.m. on Sept. 2.
A man was injured when five men assaulted him and took personal property on Commons Drive at Sutter Lane in Annandale at 9 p.m. on Sept. 2. The victim was taken to the hospital. His injuries are not considered life threatening.
On Aug. 30 at 9 p.m., a man was assaulted in the 4300 block of Ravensworth Road in central Annandale. The victim had arranged to sell property through an app. When the buyer showed up, a second man assaulted the victim and took his property. Both assailants fled the area. The victim’s injuries were not considered life threatening.
There was an attempted robbery in the 2900 block of Patrick Henry Drive in Seven Corners shortly after 5 p.m. on Sept. 2. A man approached the victim, displayed a knife, and demanded property. The victim got into a nearby car, and the suspect ran away.
