Woman arrested for assaulting officer

As Fairfax County Police were arresting a woman for being drunk in public and were putting her into a police car in Bailey’s Crossroads, she kicked an officer multiple times.

As a result, Alicia Martinez, 32, of Fairfax, was also charged with assault on law enforcement.

That incident happened at about 5:45 p.m. on March 5 in the 5900 block of Seminary Road.

In another recent incident, police were attempting to make a traffic stop on a white Lexus SUV on Little River Turnpike by Ravensworth Road at shortly after 1 a,m. on Feb. 29, when the driver sped away resulting in a short pursuit.

Kevin Tran, 28, of Fairfax, was arrested and charged with reckless driving, disregarding a police command to stop, and driving without a license.
