O’My ChiQ & Bar opens in Annandale
O’My ChiQ & Bar is welcoming customers for dinner following a soft opening a few days ago.
The restaurant, in the former Dice Burger spot on Columbia Pike in Annandale, specializes in Korean rotisserie chicken and ribs cooked on a wood fire.
It’s open 5-10 p.m. for the time being, but the hours will be extended soon, says manager Chanmin Song. He expects the restaurant will be open until 12 or 2 a.m. as early as next week and eventually will be open 11 a.m.-2 a.m.
The current menu also includes fried chicken, wings, fries, onion rings, crispy avocado, egg rolls, salads, and more.
Additional items will be added later, such as ramen, cheese platters, curry, udon, dumplings, and octopus.
The restaurant has a full bar, outdoor dining in front, and a large backyard, where Song hopes to eventually host events and concerts.
Wow awesome, I will definitely check it out!
I drove by there yesterday and it looks like they are setting up a big outdoor space in the back. I’ll definitely be checking it out.
It looks like it has a pleasant dining room to sit in. I have kept away from allot of these ethnic food venues because their dining rooms usually have junk and uncomfortable furniture and florescent lighting that screams get out or wear your sunglasses.
I too saw the back outdoor dining area, that will be fantastic. I may just stop by and get some take out for I have never had Korean barbecue.
Really, like Italian places? Never noticed they were mostly so ugly.
lol
Also, the best food often comes in the places with the worst dining areas.
This is going to be a great addition to Annandale! We are excited to have a neighborhood eatery and bar with outdoor seating, especially since it’s within walking distance for us.
I agree with the other commenters that this restaurant is a very positive development for Annandale.
I appreciate this article because I do not pass by this part of Annandale often and was not aware of this new restaurant.
Will definitely go this restaurant in the near future.
Miss the burgers at Dice Burger, but looking forward to supporting this new place soon!
I am
So excited about this! I will be a frequent customer.
Any chance any of the food options are gluten free?? 🙂
I wanted to view the menu but their website remains incomplete.
Fine collection of crows feeding at their dumpster.
Went there tonight, food was fabulous but no heat and loud music. They need to do some tweaking.
I think this is the best new restaurant in Annandale!
Poor vaxed…… not everyone is as fragile as you….. “it’s cold, it’s loud, the fluorescent lights hurt my eyes”
Dude, just think about how many people get turned off if a restaurant has no heat and how much money this new venue looses. But that is too logical for Horace – the – horror.
Food is fabulous and unlike Horace, I want them to succeed.
