Aldi opens in Merrifield Nov. 16

The Annandale Aldi.
Drop by the new Aldi in Merrifield during its grand opening
on Nov. 16 for a chance to win some great prizes and try free samples.
The grocery store, at 8100A Arlington Blvd. in the Yorktown Shopping
Center, opens at 8 a.m. It’s in the spot vacated by Staples in April 2016.

The first 100 customers will have a chance to win a “golden
ticket” worth $100. Another opening-day customer could win free produce for a
year.

The Merrifield Aldi will be similar to the Aldi that opened in Annandale in May. It will be about the same size, will have the same design,
and will offer the same selection of fresh produce, organic foods, and other items.

  1. It's time for shoppers to stop being subservient and finally reject Aldi's policy of requiring them to waste time fiddling with the coin operated cart release system. Even more ridiculous is watching grownups standing around waiting to retrieve their two bits as if it makes any difference. Aldi needs to hire a cart wrangler and, as importantly, widen its narrow parking spaces so shoppers can push their carts between cars. – Sparky

On the one hand, his/her energy could indeed be better spent elsewhere, but then again, does anyone want help from that kind of (simple) mind?
