Animals delight kids at Annandale festival

The Eileen Garnett Civic Space in Annandale was filled with families on Oct. 19 for a Fall Festival.

The main attraction was a mobile petting zoo. Farmyard Friends on the Move brought sheep, goats, bunnies, an alpaca, a woolly cow, a tortoise, and a donkey.  

There were also pumpkin giveaways, crafts, ice cream trucks, lawn games – and for the adults, seasonal wine tastings from Woodlawn Press Winery in Alexandria.

The event was hosted by the Community Revitalization Section of the Fairfax County Department of Planning and Development.
