Annandale businessman arrested for embezzlement

Fairfax County police have charged Annandale businessman, Richard Lee, with embezzling money he collected from local residents of Korean descent and had promised to send to their families in Korea.

According to a news release issued June 3, more than a dozen victims have contacted the Financial Crimes Unit to complain about Sky Annandale, a check cashing business on 4127 Hummer Road, owned by Lee. Victims handed over money, ranging from $700 to $3,000, and got receipts from Lee but the money never made to Korea.

Lee, 51, lives at 12031 Lisa Marie Court in Fairfax.
