Annandale Chick-fil-A opens Thursday

Chick-fil-A will open Thursday, April 7, at 7130 Little River Turnpike, Annandale.

Customers will be able to dine inside, order meals at the drive-through option, order online, or use the Chick-fil-A app.

Chick-fil-A specializes in chicken sandwiches. It uses chickens raised without antibiotics. Salads are made with fresh ingredients.

The restaurant will be open 6 a.m.-10 p.m. Monday through Saturday. It’s closed on Sundays.

To celebrate the grand opening, the restaurant will surprise “100 local heroes making an impact in Annandale with free Chick-fil-A for a year.” This will replace the traditional “Chick-fil-A First 100 event, which awarded the 100 people camping out before an opening with a free chicken sandwich meal every week for a year.

The Annandale Chick-fil-A will also donate $25,000 to Feeding America. The funds will be distributed to partners across the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area to aid in the fight against hunger.

Eric Brommer, the independent franchiser owner/operator, is responsible for all day-to-day activities at the Annandale restaurant, including overseeing 150 full-time and part-time employees, serving guests, and cultivating relationships with local organizations and neighboring businesses.

Within his first week working at a Chick-fil-A in a mall in Greenville, N.C., when he was 22, Brommer knew he wanted to own and operate his own Chick-fil-A restaurant. The owner of the Greenville location, Jeff Cash, helped Brommer map out a career path to get there.

Since then, Brommer, now 31, worked in every position at the company, including the corporate office, and helped open a new Chick-fil-A in North Carolina. “I’m incredibly grateful to have had Jeff as a mentor, and I’m looking forward to developing my team members and providing the same mentorship opportunities that I received,” he says.

Chick-fil-A, a family-owned company based in Atlanta, was founded in 1967 by S. Truett Cathy. There are more than 2,700 locations in 47 states, Washington, D .C., Puerto Rico, and Canada.

  2. I fear the traffic in that area is about to become even worse than it is now. A CFA near my office with a drive-thru often impedes traffic in the parking lot of the strip mall where it is located and can even impede road traffic. I’m hoping the fact that this location has two drive through windows will help. If only you could make a left off of Evergreen onto Columbia Pike.

  3. I read that the first 100 would get the gift of one year — a meal once a week. So I was there at 4 am and no one was around so I checked and found out you no longer have that way of celebrating. So I am irritated that I got up to be in line. You lost a customer
