Annandale Florist moves into vacant building

This building has been vacant for six years.

The long-vacant standalone building next to Dice Burger at 7025 Columbia Pike finally has a tenant. Annandale Florist has relocated to that space from its former store nearby at 7035 Columbia Pike.

The new space is still being organized and not yet open for walk-ins, but customers can order flowers online and by phone, says owner Kim Park. (The shop is also known as Buckingham Annandale Florist.)

In addition to flowers, Annandale Florist sells home decor items, including these collectible buildings from Lithuania.

The building went through several incarnations, including Anna N’ Dales newsstand, in past years. After that business closed in 2013, the building housed a botanical shop for about a year. It was subsequently renovated but remained empty since 2014.

The small shed next door had also been vacant for years. It previously housed an electronics repair business and then a psychic. Park plans to use that shed for storage.
